Keppel PTA

Keppel PTA

Membership

What does being a Member mean?

When you become a "member" of PTA, you are a member of the California State PTA as well as your local PTA.

What does this mean?

This means that you have a vote in what goes on in your community, your school, your district.
This means that when you attend an association meeting at your school when asked to vote on issues, your vote counts.

What it doesn't mean...

You are not required to attend meetings or to volunteer at events, but it is recommended if you can and would like to be informed and be connected to what is happening with your child.  However, by volunteering, you can put your talents and hobbies to use for a good cause - building a strong educational and social community for your child and for all Keppel students!

Why do we have to pay membership fees?

The membership fee is $10 per person.  A portion of the $5.75 per person is remitted to Glendale Council PTA,  for operating costs,  a portion for California State PTA and up to National PTA.
$4.25 per person stays at Keppel PTA and is used for operating costs,  funding events for the students, etc.
