Come and see the great artwork on display by the talented Keppel students!

A message from Steve Kim - Keppel PTA Arts Education Chair
(for those that entered Reflections)

Thank you for your child’s submission to the Reflections Art Pro...gram!
We were thrilled to receive so many amazing entries that reflected this year’s theme: Let Your Imagination Fly!

We hope to see you at the Reflections Awards celebration on Wednesday, October 21 at 6pm in the Keppel cafeteria. The celebration will begin immediately after the Keppel PTA Association meeting. We will have photo opportunities with Principal Siegal in front of our VIP Awards backdrop. And, light refreshments and dessert will be served during the meeting and celebration.
Your child’s work will be on display for all to see. We will recognize his/her entry with an awards ceremony lead by Principal Siegal, Keppel PTA President Lerna Amiryans, and Keppel PTA Arts Education Chair, Steve Kim.

Each participating student will receive a Certificate of Recognition. 1st place winning entries in each category and division will be awarded a trophy. 2nd place entries will be awarded a medallion. All students present at the celebration event will also receive a PTA Reflections Honorable Mention ribbon.

The 1st place entries in each division will then be sent to the district level and may have a chance to be showcased at the State level!

We have assembled a group of wonderful volunteer judges from Art Center College of Design and DB Dance Studio. Judges will only see the students' Grade Division (primary vs. intermediate), Title of Artwork, and Artist's Statement. Students' names will not be visible to the judges. They will review all entries and critique based on:

Interpretation of Theme “Let Your Imagination Fly”
Artistic Merit/Creativity
Mastery of Medium

Please join us on Wednesday, October 21 at 6pm in the Keppel cafeteria to celebrate your student’s creativity and entry in the 2015 Reflections Art Program!
Sincerely,

Steve Kim
